After already having to reschedule their wedding due to Covid, Emily and Jesse’s plans were further thwarted when, a year later, their venue up and decided to cancel their second date, leaving them high and dry and with the sad decision to just call it a day and scrap the idea of a big wedding reception. I know this was painful (so many things about the past few years have been). But, in typical fashion, they decided to make the best of a shitty situation. And can I just say–these were some of the most fun, least stressful wedding photos I have ever taken.
They decided to get all dolled up in the clothes they’d chosen for their ‘big day,’ make some popcorn, pop some beers, and make a day of it with me in their beautiful home. We listened to awesome/terrible alternative rock from our collective heyday (late nineties, early aughts, I’m looking at you) and had a freaking blast goofing around and chatting in their laid-back home session. I adore these two, and (as usual) I feel grateful to have made friends out of this thing I love to do.
