Kathryn and Matt’s dreamy fall engagement session in Hartford was delightfully calm and quiet. Kathryn and Matt are on the introverted side (I see you; I am too). With this in mind, they picked the most perfect, romantic and hidden-away spot for their engagement session. It’s an area they walk together regularly, and they knew it wouldn’t be crowded.

For people who weren’t super excited about being photographed, they were excellent subjects. Their easy, soft way with each other and their style made me think of rainy, grainy films made in Paris. With the golden light, the water, the quiet forest and the subtlety of their love, this was a favorite engagement session for this introverted photographer.
