Priya and Ben’s Dreamy and Casual Winter Engagement Shoot in Connecticut

Priya and Ben knew they wanted to do their winter engagement session outdoors, and we knew we were doing it in Connecticut. To the surprise of no one, we landed on Harkness Memorial State Park, one of my favorite locations in the state for its amazing variety.

I love it equally when people get all fancy and dressed up (fun occasion! yay!) and when they show up and say, photograph us as we are. This is how we are. This is how we want to remember this moment in our lives. Priya and Ben have a vibe that’s about as laid-back as my own. They’re so easy to be with and had such a simple request for their engagement session: we want photos that feel true to US. We had a cold, blustery day in early winter, and with that simple directive in mind, we got some of my favorite images from 2021. I’m so looking forward to your wedding!
