For their intercultural wedding, Justin and Michaela chose to join their lives at the Glastonbury Boathouse, a wonderful Connecticut waterfront venue with a spacious, high-ceilinged reception area (with balcony!) on the second floor, overlooking the sunset. This laid-back, quiet couple weren’t exactly excited about being the center of attention, but their day was full of friends, family, laughter, and dancing (and they got perfect weather!)
They incorporated their beloved dog into the timeline, and she made an appearance in the getting-ready portion of the day (watch her help Justin get his shoes on); she ran down the aisle to greet the couple before they said their vows, and she even made an entrance at the reception along with the other honored family members and wedding party!
Justin and Michaela chose certain traditions from Justin’s Indian roots to include in the ceremony, while making sure to highlight their intercultural union. I was able to steal them away at sunset for gorgeous golden hour couple portraits down by the river.
