Diana and Henry’s Joyful Reception in Wallingford, Connecticut
Diana and Henry’s joyful reception at the Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Connecticut was SUCH a treat. Meeting and befriending Diana has been one of the highlights of the past few years. What started as a portrait session turned into an engagement session, a wedding ceremony, a wedding reception, and an invaluable member of my women in business accountability group! I love it when things like that happen.
Diana and Henry’s relationship is so sweet. It’s a joy, seeing them together. I always tell people that I can get them to smile, get them to laugh, get them to snuggle up close to each other and hug and smooch and do all the things–but I can’t ever force the way people look at each other. That’s beyond my control. They way these two look at each other is something to behold. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to photograph it three times over the past year!
The restrictions of COVID made these two get creative with their plans, and they wound up having the best of both worlds–a small, intimate backyard ceremony this Spring and a roaring, dance-crazy reception this Fall. Both were memorable and full of love.
As usual, I’m left pinching myself. This job affords me the most amazing opportunities–going places and meeting people I never otherwise would. It took a long time to find a job that felt so aligned (trust me; I did lots of other things). I am eternally grateful I get to do it now.
