Emma and Crichelle’s two-bride Episcopal wedding in New Haven brought joy to so many, despite the rain! These two brides fell in love as students in the Yale Divinity School; as such, their church ceremony was incredibly important to them and served as the spiritual foundation for their wedding day. (You can see their stunning post-wedding ‘engagement session’, taken at the Yale Divinity School campus, here!)
Both brides took great care getting ready for the big day. Their families were present, lovingly helping them into their dresses. The brides chose to see each other before the ceremony, and they shared a private moment together in the church before heading out into the rain for family photos.
Following the moving church ceremony, the wedding headed across the street to Edgerton Park–the brides on a golf cart!–and the rain couldn’t stop them from having a great time. Even a power outrage during the reception led to a memorable moment. After a surprised beat, people started busting out their phone lights, and before you knew it, a rave-style party took over the tent.
Sadly, I had Covid for this beautiful two-bride Episcopal wedding. The wonderful photographer Mimi Zhou took the reins with K Godfrey, and they did an amazing job.
