It’s hard to contain my joy over these two.
I met Miriam at Emma and Linn’s wedding, and happen (by strange and wonderful coincidence to be shooting another of their friend’s wedding this year!). There seems to be a pretty awesome Holyoke alumni contingency spanning the East Coast and the Midwest.
Miriam and I hit it off at the wedding, and she and her fiance Josh decided to hire me for their wedding as well! We met up at Mount Tom in western Massachusetts. I had heard some of their story from Miriam and had spoken briefly to them both on the phone, but I just have to say: I got SUCH AMAZING VIBES from both of them the second they got out of the car.
Miriam is one of those honest-to-god joyful people whose smile lights up a room. She’s like a beam of sunshine. And Josh sees it. He totally gets it. They are like two peas in a pod, their love a natural, blooming thing. They also happen to be insanely photogenic (which usually happens when your happiness is barely contained). We had stunning views and great light, and the Massachusetts winter landscape was still covered in snow from a recent storm. Their session had this dusky winter romance to it that you just can’t replicate at any other time of year. I completely enjoyed their company the entire time, and I honestly can’t wait for their wedding. Partly because I’ll know so many people there (fun!) but mostly because I can see without a single doubt that these two belong together, and from what I know about the two of them, they will throw one hell of a party.
