This was another one of those couples that just wormed their way right into my heart immediately upon first contact and have refused to leave. I love all the different kinds of connections I make with clients—every person, and every couple—is unique, and I get to know a part of them and we usually become, at least a little bit, like friends. But Meghan and Lyann? Literally felt like I’d known them for years. Immediate familiarity, warmth, on-the-same-wavelength goodness. We spoke the same language, knew the same references, and had completely the same vision when it came to photography and what matters most.
As though the universe wanted to encourage this connection, we rescheduled our date for an (unusual for me) morning session. AND WE FREAKING GOT FOG. Lots and lots of thick, atmospheric, moody-as-all-get-out fog that you can’t merely summon or pay for…you just get it sometimes, and when you do, you treat it like the gift it is and have yourself an amazing time, playing in it.
They were also SUCH fun subjects, not only being completely themselves with me and with each other in front of the camera, but also bringing fun props and outfit changes that took total advantage of the already amazing situation we found ourselves in with the weather. Between the rainbow flat, their badass sneakers, and their umbrella, the three of us managed to create some of my all-time favorite images together. I cannot wait to continue our friendship AND to continue creating photos with the two of you!
