Matt and Jen’s Beach Engagement Session in Fairfield, Connecticut

Some lessons learned from Matt and Jen’s sunny Fairfield beach engagement session? Wear hats. Be ready to take them off so you can smooch more easily. Also, be so damn crazy about each other you don’t even need the shoot as an excuse to just hug and make out a whole bunch.

Because I had given birth less than a month before their wedding, we did Matt and Jen’s engagement session approximately four days before they got married. In hindsight, this was kind of lovely. They were able to focus on their relationship so much during this week, and though we spent less than eight hours together in total, we got SO many different kinds of photos together.

One thing to keep in mind if you’re hoping to do a Fairfield engagement session? Someone’s got to have town stickers to park. If no one does, you can pay for the day. (Thankfully, these two live there, so it was no big deal.)
