Kerri and Nick: Bryant Park, New York City Engagement Session

This was such a fun session! I met up with Kerri and Nick at Bryant Park after spending the day in New York City with my partner, KC, who came along to assist with the shoot. I was excited to meet these two—we had totally clicked on the phone, and I knew Kerri was as excited about this as I was.

Her friend had done her hair and makeup and she looked gorgeous. Nick was friendly and open-minded about the whole process. He clearly wanted whatever made Kerri happy and never grumbled or showed any reluctance. Instead, he was quick to smile, quick to take her hand or her face. I love how he looks at her in these photos.

We had a blast walking around Bryant Park and capturing some quintessential NYC moments. There were tons of people around (obviously), but it weirdly felt like we had the park to ourselves. They lost themselves in the moment and were excellent subjects. They were also the first couple I’ve photographed in New York City, so I’ll always be grateful to them for getting me out there for that purpose!
