Caitlin and Izzy’s Queer Engagement Session at Untermeyer Gardens in Yonkers, New York

Caitlin and Izzy’s queer engagement session at Untermeyer Gardens was nothing short of a total joy. They brought me an immediate sense of familiarity and ease, and we had a blast together—complete with informal tour of the place!

They know it well, having spent some pretty important moments here. We spent time roaming the beautiful grounds and enjoying the brilliant blue sky. They were warm and tender with each other and open to all of my ideas. They were also super cute and even brought matching jackets for a few of the photos.

Mostly, though, I appreciated Caitlin and Izzy’s comfort with each other and their clear dedication to their future together. Queer engagement sessions often feel so meaningful because our ability to get engaged has never been taken for granted. That knowledge seemed to fuel the gratitude these two have for each other. It was an honor documenting their sweet love.
