Devonna and Nick: TPC River Highlands Connecticut Wedding

Devonna and Nick have a very special place in my heart. You know how you just click with certain people, right off the bat? Well, that’s how I felt about these two when I did their engagement session last year. I was so bummed I wasn’t going to be able to shoot their cruise wedding (had a conflict), and I assumed that might be the end of our relationship.

Well, of the many terrible things Covid/2020 has thrown our way, there have been a few silver linings. Needless to say, the wedding they had dreamed about and planned for was no longer doable during a global pandemic. So I got a call from Devonna, (who had a team of magicians working to help her plan something totally different with Noble Gold Events at the helm)…and she asked if I could photograph their wedding, plan B!

This event was nothing if not a triumph over shitty circumstances. It was hot but gorgeous summer weather. Devonna looked AMAZING in the gown that had been reimagined from her mother’s wedding dress. And I’m not sure I’ve seen a happier groom than Nick. Despite everything, these two pulled off an amazing wedding, and everyone had a blast. I LOVED this day and I love these two.
