So…sometimes I meet clients, and it’s immediately clear to everyone involved that we should just be friends forever.
That’s what happened with Alex and Elliott.
Our initial zoom conversation was such a delight, and I would up laughing hysterically (and with no small amount of delighted embarrassment) when it came to light that Elliott and I are both super into Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
From there, I had to convince a reluctant Elliott that they actually did want an engagement session, despite all of their protestations. I promised that they would want authentic photos of them down the line, and I guaranteed that we wouldn’t wind up with generic, awkward posed photos. They finally decided to trust me.
Since they live in Maine, KC and I decided to make a weekend out of travelling up there to do a shoot that was meaningful to them. We met them in downtown Portland and wound up at a state park on the beach. We laughed our asses off the entire time, and I have to be honest: I got some of my favorite photos ever during their shoot.
I am DELIGHTED KC and I get to return for their wedding, and I’m so grateful this job introduces me to amazing people like these two!
