Abe and Yutong’s Harkness Memorial Park Elopement in Connecticut

Abe and Yutong’s Harkness Memorial Park elopement was the best of both worlds: laidback / chill and traditional / romantic.

This was still mid-pandemic, and both of their families were a world away in China without the option of easy travel. As a result, they decided to get married in a subdued and relaxed, intimate setting. They chose to do an engagement session (with friends!) in downtown Mystic before going to the hotel to all get ready together. Following this, we all hopped in the car and drove to Harkness for their outdoor wedding ceremony! Their elopement was a sweet and classic affair, complete with tasty sparkling drinks, sand ceremony, and the most beautiful light.⁠ It didn’t hurt that they had David Lang as their officiant. (He’s always a good time.)
