Katy and Heather: Harkness State Park Lesbian Engagement Session

Katy and Heather are lighthearted, quirky, funny humans who are super easy to be around and a joy to photograph. Neither seems to take life too seriously; upon talking to them initially, I knew they were after exactly what I like to do: joyful, fun, not-prissy, authentic photos of what their relationship actually looks and feels like.

Their Harkness engagement session fell on a chilly Spring day with VERY dramatic lighting, which hit its peak when we were on the beach. JACKPOT! We had a ton of fun wandering around the huge state park and finding those little places that yelled out at us to stop and take photos. I hope I captured what was so evident to me about these two: their ease with themselves and with each other, their quickness to laugh, and their mutual joy in hanging out together.
