Hilary and Sophie’s queer engagement shoot: a study in location and queer joy.
It’s so much fun when a couple wants to incorporate a place as part of their engagement storytelling. The location becomes a third character in the visual tale we’re telling. Hillary and Sophie wanted to make New York City a prominent focus in their engagement session without having a completely urban-feeling shoot, and they decided Central Park was the perfect place to accomplish this.
There’s so many awesome things I could say about these two–wickedly smart, insanely kind and generous of spirit–but I’ll just leave it at this. I sometimes feel, when meeting potential clients, that I’ve known them and have been friends with them for years. These two were like that. I have a deep sense that our friendship will continue beyond their (amazing-sounding, PERFECTLY located) wedding, and as always, I’m a lucky SOB who gets to meet people of this caliber on such a regular basis.
