Laura and Pat’s elegant Candlewood Inn wedding was a DREAM!! They lucked out with a beautiful (hot) day on the lake, so a morning wedding was the perfect way to go. It had everything I love about weddings: tender ceremony with funny parts (everyone needs a laugh in between drying their eyes), gorgeous photo ops, amazing food, and an off-the-hook dancefloor. What a joy it is to be able to be a part of rituals / events like these.
In addition to the venue being great for the kind of traditional-with-a-twist wedding this couple envisioned, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. I eat a lot of wedding food, guys. And a lot of it is pretty good. But I have to be honest. The meal I had at Candlewood Inn stands out in my memory. I want more of it. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
The thing about Laura and Pat is that they have this sort of old-school grace. When I look at their photos, it’s like I’m looking at a famous couple’s wedding. They have that sort of presence and style. It doesn’t hurt that they are incredibly kind and generous of spirit, either. Beautiful inside and out, both of them!
You can see their classic, tender engagement session here. Thank you Laura and Pat for trusting me throughout this process–it has been such an honor getting to know you both.
