Mark and Melissa introduced me to one of the most beautiful spots I’ve seen in Connecticut (there are so many to choose from, but this was a killer waterfall.) I was really excited to work with these two after talking to them and learning about their penchant for exploring the state–turns out, they like ‘bumbling’ as much as KC and I do, and they’ve found all kinds of weird and wonderful places as a result!
Their shoot was full of laughter, VERY careful walking (I can barely walk in shoes like that, without being eight months pregnant!), and beautiful summer evening light. They had a natural, loving ease between them that made it easy to put them in pretty light and click the shutter. Also, they both have such gorgeous smiles I kept making a fool of myself to get them to do it again. Which is part of my fun.
Soon after these photos were taken, Mark and Melissa welcomed baby Harper into the world! I’m so grateful to have documented this strange (pregnant during a pandemic) but beautiful moment in time for their family!
