Meg and Peter’s sunny engagement shoot on a Connecticut family farm brought me so much joy! Meg and Peter honored me with the biggest compliment a wedding photographer can receive: they chose their wedding day based on my availability. WHAT!? When this happens, it reminds me of the enormous trust people place in me. That Meg loved my work and reputation enough to take such a big leap prompted me to do my best work for them, and it started with this bucolic farm engagement shoot.
This couple has been together for a long time. They have an easy, affable way with each other, but there’s deep-seated tenderness there, too. For their sunny Spring engagement session, they brought me around Peter’s dad’s farm, and we explored paths beneath leafing out trees and wide, open pastures, where the sun slanted through distant woods. They cracked each other up, shared stories of their time together, and daydreamed about their upcoming farm wedding.
Ultimately, we had the perfect weather for engagement photos, and we laughed our asses off throughout the whole thing. I’m beyond excited for their wedding at the same farm mid-summer.
