Stacey was an unabashed persnickety bride. She envisioned a fabulous Fall Vermont wedding at Mountaintop Inn in Chittendon, Vermont. Her vision was bursting with blazing autumn color and rich jewel tones, a riot of color and textures. She also wanted emotion, laughter, tears, and FUN. Her large group of friends gathered at the gorgeous Mountaintop Resort in Chittendon, Vermont to help bring her vision to fruition. Her soon-to-be-husband, Nick, was doing his quiet, supportive thing: she knew what she wanted, and he was there to make sure it happened just as she envisioned. (You can see their sweet New Haven engagement session here.)
It was a joy, getting to know this group of humans. (A few weeks later, I would get the chance to photograph one of Stacey’s bridesmaid’s wedding…stay tuned for that!) The getting ready part of the day was relaxed (read, VERY organized), complete with matching jewel tone pajamas and Chuck Taylors and champagne. The ceremony itself was spectacular, with the mountains glowing orange behind the altar and nary a dry eye in the house. And the reception was a sparkly dreamscape with rich blues and purples everywhere, just as Stacey had seen in her mind’s eye.
